His Story Goes On© 2009 David Au.
Solo 1 In Bethlehem's night in a stable the Gospel story began. A manger of hay for a cradle held the Key to God's master plan. The wise men brought gifts of unspeakable worth for the Child whom they looked upon. The angels in song, proclaiming His birth, as the gospel story went on. Solo 2 From a mountain, a man is now teaching how we must live as a light. The multitudes all hear His preaching and watch as the blind receive their sight. Page after page of miraculous things in a time that, to some, seems forgone. But there's a sweet hope, that salvation can bring, as the healing story went on. Solo 3 Then the final chapter was opened; the Savior hung from the cross. He cried as His body was broken, and it seemed that all hope was lost. The stone put in place, sealed that cave with the final page come and gone, but where His life's book should have closed at the grave, Our Savior's story went on. Chorus It goes on and on, His book is not finished. The God who defies both beginning and end, has risen again, His words not diminished. They searched and His body is gone. Praise God! His story goes on! Bridge Through the ages, His grace has been heard, a tale of redemption in God's living word. For there by the blood of that Lamb Crucified, Praise God, I too am Alive! Repeat Chorus 2x It goes on, it goes on, it goes on! |
