Rainy Days Too
© 2010 David T. Au
Verse 1 A little boy in a farm house, sat on his Grandpa's knee, gazing out the window, out at his favorite tree. He wanted to go out and play in the fort that grandpa made, but the gloomy clouds above their heads, would rain on his parade. Then his grandpa pulled him close to him, and gently kissed his head. As the thunders roared, this is what he said: Chorus: It's not just the blue skies and sunshine that will make each blessing grow. It takes a few rain drops to feed our crops and the seeds that we have sown. So we wait for this lesson that only time can show; Its not just havin skies of blue, but we also need those rainy days too. Verse 2 If you stop and remember all the storms that you've been through, lookin back on your life, the sunny days and dark clouds too; I know that you'll recall a time when the trials poured like rain, and the garments of your weeping heart were drenched in all the pain. But then the Lord came through again when you finally had enough, and those storms of sure destruction became sweet showers from above. Repeat Chorus Bridge So many times I've called Him when the storm clouds pass my way, And every time He answers in the Son's most glorious rays! Repeat Chorus |
